Free? What's the catch?

Simply put, there is no catch. You pay us nothing and get free electricity.

How can Cleaner Air Solutions afford to fit the system for free?

On 1st April 2010, the 'Clean Energy Cashback' Scheme was launched, (more commonly called the Feed In Tariff).The scheme pays 41.3p per kilowatt hour for all the electricity our system generates. regardless of whether the electricity is used or not.

The FIT is guaranteed for 25 years and will eventually pay back our investment and provide us with a profit. As such, we are able to fit a free solar PV system onto suitable properties and let you, the homeowner use all the electricity that is generated during the day – free of charge.

Can I buy the system?

We will own the system for 25 years, at the end of which you would take over ownership.

If I want to sell my home, what happens?

This should not affect the sale of the house, and would most likely increase the value of the property as it offers the new homeowners reduced electricity costs.

Is this legal?

Yes, A contract would need to be signed before the install. We will also register with any mortgage lenders to help progress the installation. If you wish to see the heads of terms for the contract, prior to installation, but after a site survey, this would allow you to seek legal advice if they desire.

What guarantees do I have?

Your installation will be completed by one of Europe's leading Solar PV companies and one of the first to be MCS accredited (MCS No. 1033). Our installers are trained by the Renewable Energy Academy (one based in Durham and one within SHARP manufacturing headquarters in Wrexham).

We will guarantee against roof leaks associated with the PV system and all maintenance related to the system will be carried out by us for the 25 years.
