Is my house suitable?
The basic requirements are:
South facingA South facing roof |
No shadeNo shading from trees or other buildings |
Tiled roofRoof covering should be tile |
24m2The south-facing roof area should be 24m sq. (A large roof) |
Is every roof suitable?
No. The panels should be mounted on south facing roofs or roofs within a few degrees either side of due south. This is for maximum generation. Also, we won't install systems on properties overshadowed by trees or other objects as that will also reduce the amount of electricity generated. There also has to be enough space for our panels – around 21sq meters.
Do I need to use a certain Electricity Supplier?
No, you are not tied to a specific supplier.
Will the panels make our roof more insecure in high winds?
No, The mounting systems have been tested to ensure stability, even in severe weather conditions.
Will my roof be able to withstand the additional weight?
All installations are subject to a site survey prior to any work being carried out. We will NOT install a system onto an unsuitable roof.
Will our roof tiles be damaged in the installation?
We were one of the very first companies to become MCS approved and have been installing Solar PV since 2005.
All of our installers are trained at the industry leading Renewable Energy Academies and are experienced roofers. All work is fully insured.
Note: We can't install on apartments / flats or rented properties.
