Customer Comments:
“Towards the end of last summer I felt that it was our duty to look towards helping the environment in some way.
Since the price of electricity was constantly rising, it seemed sensible to look at the options which would benefit us by reducing our overheads on our home. We have lived in this quite large detached property for 34 years now, it really is too big for us now since the children have fled the nest but our hearts and our memories are here so decided to stay put.
I went on to the internet to see what I could find out and fell upon "CLEANER AIR SOLUTIONS". I have to say that I tried to fill in some details on the net but was unable to send them, however they obviously received something because following the Bank Holiday, Craig telephoned me.
I had to say that I was a retired nurse and I knew nothing about environmental issues!! I need not have worried; Craig explained everything in a language I could understand. Following lots of question & answer e-mails, we decided to have the survey done, the price of which would be off set against the job should we decide to go ahead with having the solar panels fitted.
I then had to sell the idea to my sceptical husband, which I did and after receiving and accepting the estimate, asked Cleaner Air Solutions to proceed with the job.
Everything went like clockwork; the scaffolding was erected the day prior to them starting to fix the solar panels.
The team who fitted them were wonderful, clean workmen, tidying up after themselves at the end of the 3 days they were here, efficient, friendly, answering my questions as they went along!!
The array was commissioned December 2nd, so from my first enquiry to completion it was only 4 months.
Since then, even though we have had those dreadful winter months and we are only in mid-May, not even 6 months yet, we have made over
1050kWh, we are registered with Scottish & Southern Electricity to be a part of their FIT programme, which means for each unit of electricity we make, they pay us, even though we use it in our home!! If we generate more than we use, they pay us more per unit!!
I have to say it is wonderful to see the wheel on the meter clock going backwards or even stopped!!!
I'm quite excited at the prospect of going on holiday, turning everything electrical off (accepting freezers etc!) and knowing that all the electricity we generate will go straight into the National Grid and we will be paid for it!!!
I feel that we are all round winners after the initial outlay for the job”!
