Customer Comments:

“We got our PV installation on 14 Dec 09 and everything is going fine.  Better than fine, given your estimate for our 2.80 Net capacity system was for an annual generation of 2058.60 kW looks like being exceeded.  To date we have generated 1371.2 units - an average of 6.9 units a day, which includes those winter weeks with snow on the roof.  Some sunny days we are reaching 18 units a day!

reay1

I've just put in my first FITS claim for 1032 units, which at 41.3p per unit should equate to £426.  E-On assume 50% of what we generate is put back into the grid and they are to pay 3p per unit - a further £30 cash back.

Further, May 09's electric consumed form the grid was down 95.6% from the same month in 2009 (it was only down 3.2% for Jan but 60.6 or 60.7 % for Feb, Mar & Apr).

Clearly a great decision to go ahead and it won't be too long before the investment has paid for itself”!

Customer Comments:

“Cleaner Air Solutions UK Ltd demonstrated they are a professional business from the initial phone call to the final commissioning.

Everything to do with the Solar Photovoltaic Generation System was explained by Craig Matthews simply but comprehensively and at no time did I consider I was pushed into a sale.

The Sharp manufactured system installed is efficient and neat with the added bonus that the panels are made in the UK. Installation took two days only because of rain on the first day and the team involved worked solidly and cleared up afterwards.

Overall I have no hesitation in recommending Cleaner Air Solutions. In fact I already have!”

Client Quotation:
“When we decided to investigate the installation of PV Cells we contacted three suppliers and found that Cleaner Air Solutions was by far and away the most professional. From the initial telephone enquiry everything was seamless. They surveyed the house to ensure the most suitable configuration of cells to suit our needs, advised us on their output, feed in tariffs and likely pay back time. In short we were able to make our decision knowing all the facts and figures.
Prior to the installation we had a problem with planners and Cleaner Air Solutions bent over backwards to help. The actual installation proved to be everything we had come to expect from them - they delivered everything they promised and more. We are delighted with our PV Cells and are happy that we chose Clean Air to supply and install them”.

Description:
This installation was mounted on the West facing roof of Mr Matthew’s home in the Chester-Le Street, County Durham. Even though the roof orientation is not ideal for Mr Matthews PV system, the introduction of the Feed-In Tariff was the deciding factor in his decision to install this type of renewable energy system. Even in the month of March Mr Matthews Solar Array is still making a significant contribution to his annual electricity bill as he has been able to run electrical appliances such as his Fridge Freezer, Dish Washer and Washing Machine in the afternoons without drawing any energy from the national grid.

Client Quotation:
"I chose Cleaner Air Solutions to install my PV system because I was impressed with their approach from the outset. They carried out a very comprehensive site survey and returned their quotation promptly. They were very easy to deal with and the installation went smoothly. I received a comprehensive customer pack with clear information on how to apply for the feed-in-tariff. The system is performing exactly as predicted and is already saving money. I'm looking forward to receiving my first feed-in-tariff payment."
Mr Anderson has provided us with a screenshot of electricity consumption for the year so far. He is gathering plenty of data and will update once the system has been in for a full year.

Customer Comments:
“Towards the end of last summer I felt that it was our duty to look towards helping the environment in some way.
Since the price of electricity was constantly rising, it seemed sensible to look at the options which would benefit us by reducing our overheads on our home.  We have lived in this quite large detached property for 34 years now, it really is too big for us now since the children have fled the  nest but our hearts and our memories are here so decided to stay put.
I went on to the internet to see what I could find out and fell upon "CLEANER AIR SOLUTIONS".  I have to say that I tried to fill in some details on the net but was unable to send them, however they obviously received something because following the Bank Holiday, Craig telephoned me.
I had to say that I was a retired nurse and I knew nothing about environmental issues!! I need not have worried; Craig explained everything in a language I could understand.  Following lots of question & answer e-mails, we decided to have the survey done, the price of which would be off set against the job should we decide to go ahead with having the solar panels fitted.
I then had to sell the idea to my sceptical husband, which I did and after receiving and accepting the estimate, asked Cleaner Air Solutions to proceed with the job.
Everything went like clockwork; the scaffolding was erected the day prior to them starting to fix the solar panels.
The team who fitted them were wonderful, clean workmen, tidying up after themselves at the end of the 3 days they were here, efficient, friendly, answering my questions as they went along!!
The array was commissioned December 2nd, so from my first enquiry to completion it was only 4 months.
Since then, even though we have had those dreadful winter months and we are only in mid-May, not even 6 months yet, we have made over
1050kWh, we are registered with Scottish & Southern Electricity to be a part of their FIT programme, which means for each unit of electricity we make, they pay us, even though we use it in our home!! If we generate more than we use, they pay us more per unit!!
I have to say it is wonderful to see the wheel on the meter clock going backwards or even stopped!!!
I'm quite excited at the prospect of going on holiday, turning everything electrical off (accepting freezers etc!) and knowing that all the electricity we generate will go straight into the National Grid and we will be paid for it!!!
I feel that we are all round winners after the initial outlay for the job”!

Customer Comments:
“Some time ago my wife and I decided that we would like to have green energy in our home. After looking at what was available, we decided that Photo Voltaic Cells would be the best option for us. We contacted a number of companies who deal with the instillation of these cells. After speaking to Cleaner Air Solutions and having previously dealt with their sister company, CLS, to convert our 4 x 4 to LPG duel fuel, we decided to have a survey done. Having agreed the date and time, the ball was set in motion. The men who arrived for the survey were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. We were told that the cells could be put onto the roof of our home even though it was originally built in the 1770’s, as the roof had been renovated to a high standard. The instillation date was set and work began on time.  It was a real pleasure to have the men around as no mess was left at the end of each day. It only took a few days for them to finish everything and commission the cells. Each step of the way we were kept informed as to what was happening. On the day of commissioning we were shown how everything works and have not been left alone as Cleaner Air Solutions are only a phone call away. After a few days we received a call from Craig Matthews of Cleaner Air Solutions to find out what we thought of the cells and if we were concerned about anything. He also made sure we had the correct certification and assisted in our application for Feed-In Tariffs.  We were so impressed with the level of service and competence of the company that we would not hesitate to recommend Cleaner Air Solutions to anybody who is looking to go green”

“As regards the Solar PV installation - we were extremely happy with the whole job and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone else considering investing in the same system.”

Mr Williams

The Williams family live in a 5 bedroom farm house in County Durham. The ever rising cost of electricity prompted Mr Williams to look for ways to cut his fuel bills.

Williams1

Cleaner Air Solutions designed and installed a solar photovoltaic array on The Williams’ south facing garage roof. The 24 Sharp 180W panels generate 4.3kWp

The array produces in the region of 3100kWh of electricity per year. Because the array is connected to the house’s incoming grid supply, not a single watt is wasted. Any electricity not used by goes back to the national grid—reducing The Williams’ carbon footprint by 2.7 tonnes per year.

Williams2

As well as doing their bit for the environment, this installation is saving The Williams family around £560 per year on their electricity bill.

With the introduction of feed-in tariffs expected later this year, they will see these savings rise to around £1,250 per year!

Customer Testimonial:
“I am delighted to be able to give an unqualified recommendation of Cleaner Air Solutions to anyone who is considering installing a PV Array on their premises. Everyone we came in contact with during the design and installation of our own Array was competent, efficient and furthermore, very easy to get on with, and the four days it took to complete the installation were absolutely trouble free and with the minimum of fuss.
We are delighted with the generation figures we are presently producing which in three months has matched almost precisely the prediction figures which we were given before we appointed your company. We are looking forward to seeing the adoption of Feed In Tariffs in April next year when we start to get rewarded properly for our own generation.  Thank you for the great service.”
